Pattern strip, recoloured each timecandidate — no select-pause.md yet; combine covers pause; sits beside Photo half, patterned half, slogan on a slab

pause · thevibranttapestry.com · thevibranttapestry.com — the ornament strip between the services and the about, band 06 of gallery/_inbox/thevibranttapestry.com (2026-09-13 sections capture, second polite pass approved by Andrew); band 08, between the about and the footer, is the same strip in a second colour and is covered by this entry; the phone from references/thevibranttapestry.com/screenshots/mobile/05.webp and 08.webp
Band 06 y3804–4211 (407px), full-bleed: a block-print fan repeat in two greens (a #4D523E-family ground with a lighter tint), ~10 repeats across 1440 and ~2.5 rows down, 0 words, 0 links, 1 image. Band 08 y5499–5906 (407px) is the same repeat on terracotta with a pale tint — the one file recoloured. Both sit between bands on #EAE1D5. The page's other ground textures (the plum nav, the green mission band) are photographs of fabric, not this repeat. Phone: full width, ~350px tall, fewer repeats across.
added 2026-09-13

How it looks:

  • Desktop: a full-bleed strip, a little under half a screen tall, edge to edge: one repeating pattern in two tones of one colour, tiled across it, and nothing else — no words, no photo, no button, no heading. Flat. The strip is the breath between two beats on the page ground, and it recurs: the page carries it twice, the same pattern each time in a different colour of the palette, so one device marks each seam without repeating exactly. The repeat is small enough that several rows show, so it reads as fabric or wallpaper rather than as one picture; its edges are the band's edges, and the bands either side sit flat against it.
  • Phone: the strip stays full width and about as tall; only the number of repeats across it changes.

Fits: a brand that owns a pattern — a repeat, a textile, a tile — or a direction that would make one from the palette; a palette with two or more colours to set it in; a page ground the strip contrasts with; the direction warm, classic or soft.

Not fit: no pattern and a direction that would not invent one; a page that already pauses on photos; the direction empty, hard-edged, typographic or photographic.

Photo half, patterned half, slogan on a slabcandidate — no select-pause.md yet (combine covers it); sits beside Slogan straddling the portrait's edge

pause · www.alexisbesstherapy.com · alexisbesstherapy.com "YOUR STORY shapes your WORLD." — references/alexisbesstherapy.com/screenshots/desktop/05.webp cropped to y3612–4067 (the fixed nav is burnt into the top 100px of the image). Phone from mobile/07.webp. Not an about band: the page has no about block; a slogan between beats.
Band 455px; photo x0→~695 (the person on a couch in the room), checkerboard from there to the right edge; cream slab about x893→1253, y3734→3950 on the pattern, carrying the h2 43.6px on three lines, one word italic. No copy, no button. Mobile: photo full-bleed, checkerboard panel inset ~23px from both edges overlapping the photo's bottom and the next band's top, the slab nested inside.
added 2026-09-13

How it looks:

  • Desktop: the band splits in halves, edge to edge, no gutter. The left half is a room photo of the person, full-bleed on that side, flush to the band's top and foot. The right half is a patterned ground — a repeat in the page's palette — with a plain slab floating on it, centred in that half and inset from its edges; the slab carries one slogan of a few words on three centred lines at display scale. No copy, no button, no heading: the slogan is the band. Nothing lands on the photo. The largest thing is the photo; the slab is the only thing read.
  • Phone: the photo first at full width; then the patterned ground becomes a panel inset from both edges that overlaps the photo's foot and runs on into the next band, the slab nested inside it.

Fits: an environment row with the person in it whose can says full-bleed 1440, its subject in one half; a brand that owns a pattern, or a direction that would make one from the palette; a slogan of three to six words; the direction warm, soft or contemporary.

Not fit: no pattern and a direction that would not invent one; a slogan longer than three short lines; the direction quiet, empty, hard-edged or typographic.

Slogan bar across the lower third of the photocandidate — no select-pause.md yet; combine covers pause; sits beside Photo half, patterned half, slogan on a slab

pause · www.interior-self.com · interior-self.com "where self meets sanctuary." band — gallery/_inbox/interior-self.com/11.jpg (second polite pass, 2026-09-13; re-captured once with --dismiss=[data-ff-el="modal-close"] for the Flodesk popup); the first-pass tile 09 holds it under that popup. The 28px marquee strip at the band's foot is the page's motion, not part of the variant. Phone read from references/interior-self.com/screenshots/mobile/full.webp, y≈9370–9970.
Band 937px; the photo full-bleed on a (199,196,191) backdrop, the figure centred (head x≈570–740, top at y≈35), cropped by the foot. Bar (223,240,162) 1323×225 at x58/y539 — inset 58px from the left and 59px from the right, its foot 145px above the marquee strip (y909–936); square corners. Slogan on one line, glyphs y593–681, ≈115px serif — the largest type on the page — left-set at x100. Nothing else in the band. Phone: bar one line tall (~50px) at y≈110–160 of a ~640px full-bleed photo, inset both sides, over the figure's chest.
added 2026-09-13

How it looks:

  • Desktop: two layers. Behind: a photo, full-bleed, running off all four edges of the band, a screen tall, its backdrop plain and light; the figure stands centred, head near the top edge, body cropped by the foot. In front: one flat bar in the accent, square-cornered, laid across the band's lower third, inset the same small margin from the left and the right edges so a strip of photo shows at each end. The bar holds the slogan on one line at the largest scale on the page, left-aligned, with the figure's torso hidden behind it and the legs showing beneath. Nothing else on the band: no heading, no copy, no button.
  • Phone: the photo stays full-bleed and tall; the bar narrows to a single line in the upper third, over the figure's chest, still inset from both edges, the legs showing below it.

Fits: a portrait or action row tall or wide, full-length, the subject centred on a plain light backdrop, can full-bleed, with a mid-section that can be covered; a slogan of three to five words; the direction bold, playful or warm.

Not fit: a slogan too long for one line at the largest scale; a photo whose subject sits low, or whose backdrop is dark or busy, which makes the bar a caption; the direction quiet, minimal or classic.

Slogan straddling the portrait's edgecandidate — no select-pause.md yet; combine covers pause; the hero's Lockup crossing the plate in select-hero.md is the same move at the plate's foot

pause · www.kasiasiwosz.com · kasiasiwosz.com "Don't quit" / "This starts with a real conversation" — band 07 of the 2026-09-13 sections capture (the cutter joined the next section's heading, "THE 1% CONVERSATION" on the light ground, to its foot); reference tile desktop/07
Band 1236px, dark. Plate ~400×490 CSS px centred, the portrait on a light wall so the rectangle is hard. "DON'T QUIT" in didone caps ~120px on two lines to the right of the plate, the D and the Q over the plate's right edge; on the live page N'T and QU are blurred and set behind the plate, DO and IT sharp in front — the capture shows all of it sharp and in front. Caption centred under the plate inside its width: a bold caps line ~14px and a three-line paragraph. The lower half of the band is empty ground.
added 2026-09-13

How it looks:

  • Desktop: a dark band. Depth in three layers: the ground; a portrait plated straight on it, centred on the page's axis, its own light backdrop making it a hard rectangle; and a slogan of two words, one per line, at the largest scale on the band, that sits beside the plate to its right but starts on it — the first letter of each line lands on the photo and the rest on the ground, so the words straddle the plate's right edge. Under the plate, centred on the same axis and no wider than it, a caption: a short caps line, then a short paragraph. The whole sits in the band's upper half; the lower half is empty ground before the next beat.
  • Phone: the plate at full width; the slogan beneath it on two lines, no straddling; then the caption.

Fits: a portrait row tall column or square whose caption names a plain light backdrop, so the plate has a hard edge against a dark ground, with the subject centred and the frame's right edge free; a slogan of exactly two words; a caption of one line and a short paragraph; the direction hard-edged, typographic or loud.

Not fit: a slogan longer than two words; a portrait whose backdrop is the ground's colour, so the edge and the straddle vanish; the direction soft or quiet.
